NEET apps vs coaching institutes: which do you actually need?

An app is not a smaller coaching centre, and a coaching centre is not a bigger app. They do different jobs.

Frequently asked questions

Can a NEET app replace coaching?

It depends on the app and on you. Apps run by coaching providers, such as Physics Wallah and ALLEN, include live and recorded classes and can stand in for classroom teaching. Practice and revision apps do not teach the syllabus, so they suit students who have already been taught it.

Are free NEET apps any good?

Some free options come from official sources. NTA's own National Test Abhyas app offers free computer-based mock tests for NEET, and desktop Anki is free and open source. Judge an app by what it helps you do, not by its price.

Should I use an app if I already go to coaching?

Many students do, mainly for extra practice and revision between institute tests. Keep it focused: one app for practice or revision is usually more useful than several that overlap with your coaching material.

How do I choose a NEET app?

Decide what you need first: lectures, practice questions, mock tests or revision scheduling. Then check what the app states publicly about that job, whether it covers the current NMC syllabus, and whether you can try it before paying.
