Why the exam format matters here
NTA's bulletin says NEET (UG) 2026 was held in pen and paper mode in a single shift. If most of your practice happens on a screen, as it does with many online courses and with NTA's own National Test Abhyas mocks, add some full-length papers on printed sheets with an OMR-style answer sheet and a timer, so the format itself is not new on exam day.
Frequently asked questions
Is online coaching enough for NEET?
It can be. Online courses from large providers include live and recorded lectures, notes and test series. What matters is whether you attend consistently, practise enough questions, and get your doubts answered. Add some pen and paper mocks, because the NEET (UG) 2026 exam was pen and paper.
Is offline coaching better than online for NEET?
Neither is better for everyone. Offline suits students who need in-person structure and can reach a centre; online suits students who need flexibility or live far from one. We found no official data comparing results by coaching format.
Do big coaching providers offer both online and offline?
Yes. As of 27 Sep 2026, ALLEN describes 300+ classrooms in 75+ cities and an app with live and recorded classes, and Physics Wallah describes 100+ offline centres in 175+ cities and an app with live and recorded lectures.
What should I check before paying for NEET coaching?
Check that the course follows the current NMC syllabus, what the test series includes, how doubts are handled, the refund policy, and whether you can attend a demo class. Read the fee details on the provider's own page rather than relying on third-party listings.
Can I switch from offline to online coaching midway?
Often, yes, since many providers run both. The syllabus is the same, so the main cost of switching is adjusting to a new schedule and teaching style. Check the provider's own policy on transfers and refunds first.
